After the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Indonesia, the death toll is still rising. The national civil protection authority spoke on this Monday officially that at least 1944 dead.
It is feared that many more people on the island of Sulawesi have not survived the September 28 disaster. In Palu alone, after the sinking of entire streets in the earth, the whereabouts of about 5,000 people are still unclear. So far, the number of confirmed fatalities had lain at 1763.
