Dogs around the world pay tribute to Canine Diesel (SWAT Team Dog) killed in Paris siege (with a little help from their owners)

A seven-year old Belgian shepherd dog named Diesel (SWAT team dog) died during firefight with suspected Paris jihadis. Actually She was sent into building to sniff out booby traps but was blown to pieces when woman detonated her suicide vest.

Thousand of Twitter users are posting pictures of their pets to pay tribute to Diesel. Diesel’s death sparked a wave of mourning across social media, under the Twitter hashtag #JeSuisChien. The hashtag, which means “I am a dog and was trending on Twitter”.

One police handler said, it was ‘a little like losing one of our colleagues’ while a Twitter user said, Diesel had ‘died to defend our colours’.
The official profile for Police National tweeted that Diesel ‘was killed by terrorists in the current operation in Saint-Denis’.
